How I Quit

IT HAS 7 MONTHS AND 12 DAYS SINCE I HAVE SMOKED A CIGARETTE!

March 12 2012. This is the Last day that I smoked a Cigarette. I smoked Marlboro Menthol Lights since I was 11 years old. (Yes you just read this correctly. 11) When I started I could walk into the local corner store with 6 quarters and buy a pack. Soon after they changed the law to 16.  My local store would allow  a hand written note from my parent (yeah right. i was forging) to buy a pack. Then by time the law was changed to 18 I was already old enough.

My husband also smoke free now, has been trying to get me to quit for years. He tried several times and I know that with me still smoking that made it hard for him and he would end up picking back up after a couple of days. It was to difficult with me blowing smoke all over the place. That was selfish of me. And I am very embarrassed to admit that I did smoke in my house and car with my children. I am very ashamed of this and apologize to them nearly everyday.

My friend had a Heart Attack. He is 36 years old. Yes he was a smoker. He has now saved all of our lives. When I say all of our lives, I mean each person in our circle of friends. He started making these boxes that were actually Electronic Smoking Devices. They look funny. They actually look illegal! But the best part of it is that the fluid (or juice is what i call it) has 3 ingredients.  3 compared to the over 200 that ciggies have ( that number may actually be higher..So I am using a nicotine vapor. The ingredients are Vegetable glycerin, propynol glycol and NICOTINE (18mg).  You still get smoke. You feel it.You still get nicotine. No nicotine withdrawls. You can also lower your nicotine over time to wean off completely It is Amazing the difference in everything. I have actually already cut back on the amount I am smoking on the smoking machine as well. I was using a bottle of juice every 2 weeks. Now I am using a bottle of juice every 3 weeks. I no longer have to go out to smoke. I can smoke this pretty much anywhere.Using common sense anyway. i am not gonna use it at schools or church. But it is not unhealthy for anyone. No second hand smoke issues. ,
Now my guy made us some of the machines homemade. And then he kind of migrated over buying some from different places like smoke shops and online stores. Regardless, he has taken care of all of us buy getting us the smoking machines from different places. He does all of the hard work for us.

The cost is saving me money like you wouldn't believe. At $5 a pack I was spending $70+ a week for both me and my husband. I now spend $15 every 3 weeks. The upfront cost was about $100 bucks. I have actually purchased a couple of different devices just trying to find the best one for me. At the end of the day I end up using all of them.

MY OPINION. The electronic smokes that you buy at the gas station that look like actual cigarettes DO NOT work. They do not give you the "THROAT HIT" that you need. Smokers you know what I am talking about. The feeling in your throat that you NEED a smoke. In my opinion, They do not hold the proper amounts evenly of all the juice and nicotine. INVEST a little extra in the better machine. Investing a little more now will actually save you. Buy a smoker an electronic smoker for Christmas.

One more personal thing I want to note. About one month after I quit the smokes I opened up a dresser drawer. The smell was horrible. All I could smell was smoke. The nasty smoke that people always complain of but you can't smell if you are a smoker. I had to dump the whole drawer in the wash. And then MY WHOLE CLOSET. I can also now smell the car next to me at a red light if they are smoking. Again, at these time I apologize to my kids over and over and over again. I will never stop apologizing to them. I WILL NEVER SMOKE AGAIN. And I WILL BEAT THEIR BOTTOMS IF I CATCH THEM SMOKING!

HERE ARE A COUPLE OF PICTURES OF WHAT I USE! TRY IT..LOOK IT UP ON YOUTUBE..THERE ARE SEVERAL REVIEWS OF DIFFERENT KINDS!

DID I MENTION THAT I AM VERY PROUD OF MYSELF AND MY HUBBY!
