BulletProof

I don't know whether to be APPALLED or EXCITED and GRATEFUL that we now have a product such as this:

BULLET PROOF BACKPACKS.

There are 3 different model, Avengers, Disney Princess and a plain colored one. They will help protect our kids and run from $200-$300. I read an article that sales have SKYROCKETED. Is this what our world has really came to? They also sell children's body armor. These items are orginally sold at gun shows and the company is based out of UTAH.

I remember it was a huge deal that when I was in high school they were starting to put metal detectors in schools. I gradated in 1996. Now a little over 15 years later they are gearing kids up with bulletproof backpacks and body armor under their clothes. This saddens me so much.

It is so sad that my parents used to tell me to watch our for my lunch money or kids stealing Jordan's. Now you have to teach your children how to protect themselves if a gunman comes in the school.  I personally tell my children to play dead. But who knows how one will react in this type of situation. This list could go on and on and on.

What are your opinions on the BULLET PROOF BACKPACKS???  <-----CLICK HERE TO READ MORE OF THE ARTICLE I READ.

Here is the last quote in the article. I thought it was clever and it is really a question we as Americans should be thoughtfully taking into consideration and then answering....

“I think when these things happen we have the chance to ask ourselves tough questions,” she said. “One of those is what kind of a society do we want to live in? Do we want to live in a society where we send our kids to school in Kevlar backpacks and arm our teachers? I think we create more chaos by responding that way.”

I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR COMMENTS ON THIS MATTER....PLEASE LEAVE THEM BELOW.

  1. Wow that's just crazy. I don't think I would ever buy one of those for my kids. I don't like guns at all.

  5. Wow! It is so sad that kids can't feel safe to go to school these days. I think if we all lived more simply and had one parent stay at home while their kids grow up, they may not turn out to be crazy nut jobs that make children fearful :/
