Traditions

I am still like a little kid on Christmas morning.
I can't wait for my kids to wake me up. They are always so excited and they can't wait. They act as if I am taking 2 hours to get out of bed when in all actuality it is like 45 seconds.

Here is how our tradition goes

They wake me up...I send them to the living room to "JUST LOOK". Don't Touch! (This Kills Them!)
I will stand at the end of the Hallway where they can't see me and just listen. I love to hear their excitement and what they are saying. I love to hear them talking about when Santa came last night and explain to each other how Santa got in the house! After a few minutes of me indulging myself in this joy, I will say go ahead and get your Stockings. I let them open stocking while I get my coffee..I also will start cooking cinnamon rolls at this time. Every Christmas morning after presents we have Cinnamon Rolls by Pillsbury!  What I really mean though is that THEY have cinnamon rolls while I BATTLE packages!!

(PLEASE TELL ME WHY THESE THINGS ARE PACKAGED LIKE THEY ARE GOING TO EXPLODE OR SOMETHING!)

We then just spend the day with family and the kids will play all day. I don't even make them clean the stuff up. I let them leave it all over the living room floor so it is at their disposal all day!

What about you? Do you have any special traditions like this?

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE. I AM GETTING A LITTLE EXCITED SINCE IT IS GETTING A LITTLE CLOSER!!

  2. We open most of our presents on Christmas eve (since the kids can't wait) and then open what's left on Christmas morning, including stockings.

  3. My children are older, so we wake up whenever..LOL... but when they were little, it was so hard to sleep past 6am, they would come and wake us up.

  4. When my nieces and nephew were little we stayed up most of Christmas Eve trimming the tree which had been hidden from the kids up until they went to bed--their look of utter amazement was priceless--then of course wrapping paper all over the place!! Once they got older this tradition stopped!!
